His background includes work on several “Theatre in America” adaptations produced by PBS, a comedy pilot for Showtime included in Time Magazine's Ten Best List for 1992, and feature work with Jennifer Jason Leigh, James Earl Jones, Terri Garr, Tim Matheson, and Jeff Jones. He filmed one of only two documentaries about Andy Warhol ever made.

Recently, “The Palm of Her Hand”, a comedy short he co-wrote and directed was nominated for Best Short at the Nashville International Film Festival. He also produced and directed segments for USA Network's hit series, “Nashville Star”.

Collaborating with agency and client to create the finest vehicle for their ideas, Rob brings to his work the best of both worlds: the confidence of years of experience as an award-winning DP coupled with the fresh eye and enthusiasm of an innovative, perfection-driven director.

For Immediate Release:

Rob Lindsay Pictures announces it is finishing videos for American Cancer Society and special needs school in East Tennessee.

We are very proud to announce that Rob Lindsay was chosen to produce and direct fund-raising videos for two highly deserving clients: the American Cancer Society and The Trousdale School, in Cleveland, TN.

The first video, for the Cancer Society, is a high-energy music-video style coverage of a fashion Gala held at Nashville's City Hall stage. Last minute backstage high spirits are intercut with flowing footage of over twenty models on stage wearing the creations of three of Nashville's top designers.

Said Lindsay, “The organizers had approached us with an idea merely to record the event. We sold them on the idea of shooting it in a “music video” mode with fast shots and quick cuts that would better communicate the feel and glamour of the event. They bought into it and loved it.”

The Trousdale School video involved a two day shoot on location, following students at their jobs and classes and interviewing parents and faculty. The concept for the video was developed out of conference calls Lindsay conducted with anoroc agency creative Deborah Loercher and school founder Tom Johnson. “The story line that guided me through the production was simple: special needs people can do more than most of us can imagine, and this school is uniquely suited to help them achieve their goals.

“For me, it was an amazing experience to meet these folks and be able to help tell their story and show the passion of those who work with them. I won't forget them.”

Lindsay used experience gained in thirty years in the film industry to bring the best out of his subjects, whether they were glamorous models or shy people with special needs.

Director/Cameraman Rob Lindsay has been selected by the Walton Group to create and direct their 2006 campaign, using a mix of real people and talent to underline the message that “Walton Cares.” The 2 day shoot will be on location in Augusta, Georgia.

This will be the second pairing for Lindsay and Walton execs. He helmed their 2003 campaign and helped win them a Silver Telly that year.

“We're building on the branding we started then: you can trust Walton because they care. We'll be pairing active past patients with talent playing staff to reflect the bonding that happens during therapy. Voice-overs will be cut from audio interviews I'll be doing with the former patients during the shoot. The voices will be unmistakably real and believable.”

Lindsay sums up: “Trust is what we are building here. Trust and associating Walton with successful therapy.”

Rob Lindsay creates new branded look for Eye Health Partners.

Nashville, TN:

Video director and photographer Rob Lindsay, of Rob Lindsay Pictures, announced the completion of the second contract for both video and still photography production for web and DVD promotion for Eye Health Partners and its subsidiary VisionAmerica, which provide advanced surgical eye care through clinics across the Southeast.

Lindsay was chosen to write, produce, and direct short, friendly videos to introduce EHP doctors to prospective patients who can access the clips at their eye doctor's office or at EHP's website. “The idea is to put patients at their ease and to allow them to learn a bit about who the doctors are and that they do, in fact, care very much about their patients' needs and comfort.”

“Rob has helped us through this process from the start,” said Mark Wagner, CEO of Eye Health Partners and VisionAmerica. “He drafted and re-drafted copy with input from each doctor. And he made the shoots fun for them, getting very natural readings.” After each doctor's video shoot was completed, Lindsay shot still portraits for the company's brochure and website needs.

Eye Health Partners and VisionAmerica stand at the forefront of surgical technique and medical experience, two themes woven through each script. Together with the humanity and concern displayed by the doctors on screen, “It all added up to creating a base level of trust,” said Lindsay. “The starting point for any doctor patient relationship.”

Rob Lindsay has been serving regional clients with award-winning television commercial production for over ten years in Nashville, with an emphasis in the health care industry. He also provides still photography services.

Rob Lindsay creates new promotional DVD for rising country artist Craig Sellers and Cozy Records .

Director Rob Lindsay of Rob Lindsay Pictures and CEO Kenny Holloway of Cozy Records teamed up to create a fun, fast-paced video introduction for country singer Craig Sellers, whose singing talent created a sensation at Fan Fair last month.

Rob shot Craig in a variety of locations around Knoxville, TN, then brought in a second camera to help cover Craig's performance at his record release party. Said Lindsay, “Craig is a natural at this. He looks great, has fun on stage, and really fires up the crowd. Which, of course, we wanted to show as much as possible!”

Rob intercut three of Craig's performances, including the single, “Something Worth Fighting For”, with interviews and scenes of Craig having fun and just plain cutting up. “He even got me to dance, and brother, I just don't dance!”, said Craig. “You never know where the video is going next,” says CEO Holloway. “And it shows Craig at ease and having fun. Rob got Craig to a comfort level where he could let his personality come across, and the fans love it.”

Shot on Digital Video, the six minute clip streams from Craig's site, www.craigsellers.net for fan viewing. It is also a clip source for broadcasters to add to interview segments and is an easy way for industry execs to get a feel for Craig and his style.

“These Electronic Press Kits are more useful than ever, “ maintains Lindsay. “For getting an artist's best image out there to lots of different people with lots of different needs and time constraints, you just can't beat it.”

Rob Lindsay has been involved in video production for the Nashville music industry since 1992, and has shot videos for Reba, Travis Tritt, Joe Diffie, Clint Black, Linda Davis, Kathy Mattea, and many others. He also has many award-winning television commercials for the health care industry to his credit.

For Immediate Release:

Cheekwood's Pineapple Room is proud to announce the hosting of twenty stunning and unique photographs of flowers by Nashville photographer/filmmaker Rob Lindsay.

The images, all large color close-ups, bring the beauty of the flowers into the realm of the abstract. The viewer is taken on a journey into the heart of the blooms to experience the flowers from an intense new perspective. Some of Lindsay's pictures use an unusual diffusion that blurs the line between photography and painting.

“I have tried to find a new way to appreciate these gorgeous things,” says Lindsay. “People tell me they have never seen a flower represented quite like these, and they just get lost in them.”

Lindsay's photography has been shown at The Temple, Chromatics, the Lowen + Trent Gallery & Studio, and hangs in many homes and offices in Tennessee.

Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art has long been a place of refuge to appreciate natural beauty. Located on Forest Park Drive off of Page Road in Belle Meade, the museum's restaurant, the Pineapple Room is open for lunch from 11:00 – 2:00 Tuesday through Sunday. 352-4859 for reservations.

The show will be up until July 1 st . The prints are available for purchase from the artist in various sizes. For more information, call: 419-2299 or visit www.roblindsaypictures.com .
